How an Arcus audit actually works.
A structured, scored review, built to produce a defensible written finding rather than an impression or a sales conversation.
Scope letter.
Every engagement begins with a written scope letter, agreed before any work starts. It defines exactly what will be reviewed, what the client can expect to receive, and confirms the engagement is advisory only, with no placement of insurance involved at any stage.
Inventory.
For an existing portfolio, this means a complete inventory of every policy held: sum assured, structure, ownership, nominees, and premium history. For a new structure, it means a clear statement of the financial and family circumstances the cover is meant to serve.
Scored review.
Each element of the portfolio is tested against a structured rubric rather than a general impression. This is what makes an Arcus finding comparable and specific: two audits produce results that can be measured against each other, not just a narrative opinion.
Written finding.
The engagement ends with a written report: what the review found, what is misaligned, and what a defensible structure would look like. The client is free to act on it with any broker, insurer or advisor of their choosing. Arcus does not place insurance and earns no commission on the outcome, at any stage of the process.
